Scrapping in winter
Winter is a great time to get some scrapping done! If you're not an outdoorsy person (like me) you spend a lot of time inside where it's warm. I've completed quite a few layouts already this month which makes me really happy. Most were quick, easy ones; but I'm really happy with these two that are a little more involved, so I'll share them with you. The first one is done with Basic Gray Archaic papers.
I really like this one. It's made with Cosmo Cricket Souvenir papers and chipboard. I punched the flowers from some of the same papers and used embroidery floss for the
stitching.

A wonderful friend has given me an award. Robin Willis http://rockinrobin1973.blogspot.com is a fantastic artist and we share membership in several Yahoo groups.I really must admit that I don't understand her reasoning; I post to my blog so sporadically and most of the time it's simply photos of my grandkids or a layout with photos of my grandkids. But I will gracefully accept her nomination for the Lovely Blog Award.
Now, as part of my responsibilities of this award, I am supposed to pass it along to
seven other bloggers that I feel are worthy of this award. I hope you will check out their blogs to see some fantastic art.

More Christmas
I hope you can stand a bit more Christmas before I get into the new year. It took
me several tries to get some good photos of my outdoor decorations. Thought I'd share the final results. I cut back on the amount of lights we put out this year; both for financial reasons and because it turned cold so early this year.
This is a picture of my tree and animated figures (Sleeping Santa and two of his hard-working elves) through my front window.
And finally, a picture of my family. My son, John, daughter Heather, me, daughter Dawn and my hubby, Larry.
I hope everyone who stops in here had a wonderful Christmas and a safe New Year. I pray that 2009 is better in every way for all!
